The desk works within the law. This page describes the limits of what the desk does and does not undertake.
Legality
The desk operates within the laws of the United Kingdom and Singapore, and the laws of any jurisdiction in which a matter is being addressed. Work is conducted through the proper administrative channels and through lawful means.
Sanctions
The desk does not work to assist in the evasion of sanctions, in any form, and does not accept work that would have that effect.
Law enforcement
The desk does not work to obstruct law enforcement and complies with lawful requests from competent authorities. The desk does not work to remove records of criminal proceedings, regulatory enforcement, or matters of legitimate public interest.
Government and public statements
The desk does not work on matters involving non-public statements of government, official inquiries, or active investigations. Such matters belong to the institutions that hold them.
AI and team conduct
The desk uses proprietary detection systems and works with a small in-house team. Both operate within the same limits. Neither is used to access protected systems, to deceive in interactions with third parties, or to circumvent any reasonable safeguard placed by another party on their own information.
